PTO: Hospitality Help Needed! Each year the PTO Hospitality Committee provides dinner for our teachers during Parent/Teacher Conferences. It's just our little way of showing our appreciation for all of their hard work. If you can donate a green salad, fruit or a dessert, please call Lisa Apton at 815-254-4905. Items are needed for Thursday, March 25th and can be dropped off at school all day Wednesday or Thursday from 3-4. Thanks for your help!

Kids Cooking Contest: it's simple to enter. Students fill out the entry form with their favorite healthy snack or meal recipe. Recipes will be judged on Health conscious foods, simple kid friendly preparation and fun kid foods.  At each school, up to four winning student chefs will be chosen.  All the winners will then compete in a district wide cook off for the best recipe.  A fabulous Grand Prize will go to the winner.  The recipes are due on March 24, 2010.  Sodexo Food Service staff will judge the recipes.  On April 9, 2010 the winners will be announced for each school.  Then there will be a final cook off event where the best of the best will showcase their recipes.  This will be held at Aux Sable Middle School on Saturday, April 24th.  If you have any questions call Eloise Sopka at 815.436.6270.

Forms will be availabe in the cafeteria starting Monday, March 1.  Turn in completed forms to your FACS teacher.

Reminder to all students: cell phones must be turned off and stored in your locker.  Texting during school will result in disciplinary consequences and in confiscation of your phone.  Remember  to demonstrate excellence and make great choices!
