My responsibilities include... Oversee elementary school special education services and programs Supervise elementary special education administrators Collaborate with elementary principals in supporting needs of IEP students Plan staff development for elementary special education teachers Supervise the district’s  occupational therapists, physical therapists,  and the autism specialist I am currently working on... Reviewing progress of IEP students with special education administrators to identify areas for further consideration of staff training and special education program needs Collaborating with the Directors of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction and Assessment and Accountability to establish a system to evaluate growth of students receiving interventions in reading and math Collaborating with the Director of Assessment and Accountability to implement the Corrective Math pilot in four elementary buildings The Director of Student Services - Elementary School reports to Sharon Gronemeyer
