Current physicals, immunizations needed for PreK, K, 6th and 9th graders
District 202 officials are reminding families that all first-year preschoolers and students entering kindergarten, 6th and 9th grades this fall must have a current school physical completed within the last year with updated immunizations on file before school starts on August 25, 2009.
It is highly recommended that all paperwork be submitted by August 4, 2009.
Sixth and ninth grade physicals with immunizations can be brought or mailed to the student's school. Middle and high school secretaries are on duty throughout the summer.
Elementary school secretaries will return to work on July 27, 2009.
Sixth and ninth grade students without a physical on file will NOT receive a class schedule.
Likewise, students entering preschool for the first time this fall; and students who will enter kindergarten this fall will not be allowed to start school on the first day, August 25th, if they do not have a physical and immunization record on file.
Officials encourage families to share this information with friends and family, especially those with children entering preschool this fall.
