D. 202 Board of Education approves new district-level student services director

Plainfield – Plainfield South High School Special Education Administrator Liz Massaro will serve as District 202’s Student Services Director for Private Placements.

The Board of Education approved Massaro for the new role at its May 23, 2022 regular meeting.

She begins July 1, 2022. She replaces Jason Stanley.

Massaro has spent her entire 14-year career in special education at District 202.

She started her career as a special education teacher in 2008 at Plainfield North High School.

Massaro was a special education teacher from 2008 to 2017 at Plainfield North High School.

She was an elementary special education administrator from 2017 to 2019 and moved to her current role at Plainfield South High School in 2019.

Massaro also has served as a site supervisor for the Extended School Year program each summer since 2016.

“Liz’s experience in all grades from preschool to high school, her experience with specialized programs, and her knowledge of programming for our 18-to-22-year-olds make her an excellent candidate for this position,” said Mina Griffith, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services.
