Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 is a creative school system in the southwest Chicago suburbs, dedicated to ensuring that all students learn, achieve and grow to their maximum potential.
In 2020-21, District 202 served 25,133 students* from a 64-square mile area serving parts of Bolingbrook; Crest Hill; Joliet; Lockport; Naperville; Plainfield; Romeoville and unincorporated Will and Kendall counties.
District 202 is the fifth largest public school system in Illinois by enrollment, behind (in this order) Chicago, Elgin, Rockford and Indian Prairie (Aurora/Naperville), based on 2019-20 State Board of Education data.
