New Teacher Induction Requirements
2022-2023
Vision Statement for Induction:
Develop and maintain an Induction program that creates self-reflective leaders who value their role and continuously work to move their practice forward based on what is best for students.
New Teachers to PCCSD 202 are expected to attend all scheduled meetings.
Year 1 with previous teaching experience (District Cohort):
- Four full days of induction prior to the start of the school year
- Up 30 hours to be held after the school day, includes 5 principal hours throughout the year by your building administrator.
Year 1 : New to the Profession (VC & BM Mentor Cohort):
- Four full days of induction prior to the start of the school year
- Up to 30 hours of virtual coaching (VC) and Building Mentor (BM) time to be held after the school day, includes 5 principal hours throughout the year with your building administrator.
Year 2 (District Cohort):
- Up to 15 hours to be held after the school day, this includes 5 principal hours throughout the year by your building administrator.
Year 3 - For “novice” teachers only.
- A novice teacher is a teacher entering PCCSD 202 with less than two years of teaching experience.
- Teachers will participate in up to 10 hours to be held after the school day, this includes 5 principal hours throughout the year by your building administrator.

5/11/23 At Home School with your administration team - All Levels

2/23/23 Cultural Competency DIstrict Office HS 3-4:30pm / Elem & MS 4:30pm - 6:00pm
